Marco Godoy
FILTER: VIOLENCE AND ITS COUNTERSTRIKES
Claiming the Echo is one of the projects in which Marco Godoy works with people from the nonviolent protest movement and Occupy . Since the beginning of the crisis in Spain demonstrators have taken to the streets with slogans like : “It’s called a democracy, but it’s not democracy,” “We are not afraid” and “These are our weapons.” Godoy incorporated these slogans into a composition based on the work of composer Henry Purcell. The Madrid protest choir Solfonica performs the work.
