FILTER: FINANCE AND ITS LOGICS

The film Zero History portrays three very different people: a collector of contemporary art who is becoming senile, an immigrant who scopes the streets for scrap metal and an artist who collects images of the city. Through their stories Stefano Tsivopoulos explores the value of money and shows the stratification caused by the economic crisis that has so profoundly affected Greece in particular.

A part of the presentation of the film is an archive of old and new exchange systems, alternatives to existing monetary transactions. Together they form the beginning of something new, a glimpse of recovery and growth. History Zero depicts our relationship with money in a poetic, philosophical way and offers a new perspective on the crisis. A return of solidarity, cooperation and co-responsibility, in response to current financial models.
