Grand Opening Hacking Habitat

We are pleased to remind you about the opening of HACKING HABITAT. Art of Control, on friday the 26th from 5.00 pm until 10.00 pm in the former prison at Wolvenplein in Utrecht. Attendance is personal and invite only. Information is passed through our newsletter.

Special guest is Birgitta Jonsdottir
Birgitta Jonsdottir was a strong force behind the civilians movement and public outrage resulting into the imprisonment of 26 bankers in Iceland from 2008 until now. She co-founded the Citizen’s Movement, a political party in Iceland, founded in the lead up to the 2009 election during the Global Recession, which severly affected Iceland.

She was elected to the Icelandic parliament in April 2009 on behalf the movement aiming for democratic reform beyond party politics of left and right. Birgitta has been an activist and a spokesperson for various groups, such as Wikileaks, Saving Iceland and Friends of Tibet in Iceland.

She cofounded the International Modern Media Institute (IMMI) with a group of 21st legislative transformation enthusiasts and experts. She is currently serving as a chairman of the Board.. She became a member of the Icelandic Parliament in April 2009. She worked as a writer, artist, activist, web developer, designer.
